The energy was electric at Meru International School’s Miyapur and Tellapur campuses as we successfully concluded the Meru Vijetha Inter-Community Sports Competition 2024-25! Spanning from December 1, 2024, to January 25, 2025, this much-anticipated event brought together over 800 participants from communities across the city.
Promoting an Active Lifestyle for Young Champions
Meru Vijetha isn’t just a competition; it’s Meru’s way of encouraging children to embrace an active lifestyle. The event featured an exciting range of sports designed to inspire fitness and discipline among young athletes. From the lightning-fast 30m Run (for Grades 1 & 2) to the strategic intensity of Chess, and from high-energy Basketball and Football knockouts (Grades 4-5 & 6-7) to the precision of Karate (Kata & Kumite), every game challenged participants to push their limits. The event also highlighted the importance of flexibility and mindfulness through Yoga, while Badminton (singles) and special Parent-Child Badminton matches brought in a fun, competitive spirit.

The Parent-Child Badminton matches were a true highlight, showcasing teamwork, laughter, and the joy of shared experiences. Beyond the thrill of competition, Meru Vijetha was about fostering community spirit and celebrating the dedication of our young athletes. Winners and runners-up in all games were deservedly awarded certificates and medals, recognizing their hard work and commitment.
